About
Hendrik Arns
Hendrik Arns works between text, performance and theatre. He writes the texts for his pieces himself and performs in them, building them out of dance, live music and spoken word.
He trained as a director at the Hochschule für Musik „Hanns Eisler“ Berlin and studies at the Städelschule in Frankfurt with Dora Budor, with stations at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Central Saint Martins, the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst „Ernst Busch“ Berlin and the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris. He has assisted at the Bayreuther Festspiele and at opera houses in Berlin, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, London, Shanghai and Tokyo. His plays appear with Passagen Verlag Wien; his productions are co-produced through lost://naheta GbR, which he co-founded. He holds grants from the DAAD, the Deutschlandstipendium and the Stiftung Polytechnische Gesellschaft.
